Wilde Readings Author Consignment Program
Thank you for being a participating author in HoCoPoLitSo's Wilde Readings series.
This page helps us ensure the availability of your works for sale at Queen Takes Book during you Wilde Readings event and for the remainder of the month.
In most cases, we require that you provide copies of your works at the event, and you are welcome to bring as many copies as you choose to display and make available for event participants to purchase. Following the event, we are pleased to stock and display your works at Queen Takes Book, and will maintain an inventory of up to 5 copies for the remainder of that month for sale to the public.
Please note - Authors are responsible for bringing their books to the event, including copies to remain in the store for the duration of the consignment period. Please email us at info@queentakesbook.com if you are unable to do so or would like to request that Queen Takes Book orders inventory.
At the conclusion of the month, we will return unsold copies along with a check for 60% of the pre-tax sale price of items sold during the event and during display in the store.

Wilde Readings Consignment Policy
BOOK REQUIREMENTS
Books eligible for consignment must have an ISBN and a spine that shows both the title of the book and the author’s name. Copies of the book must be provided by the author. Please contact us at info@queentakesbook.com if you would like to request bookstore purchasing through Ingram.
STOCKING
As part of your participation in Wilde Readings, Queen Takes Book will waive the normal consignment policy stocking fee and provide for up to five copies at the store for the duration of the consignment period. The location of the books will be at the store’s discretion, but we will make every effort to provide a prominent, front-facing display. Queen Takes Book will determine the price for the books, based on the suggested retail price from the author and product comparisons.
DURATION
The consignment period is for the remainder of the calendar month within which the Wilde Readings takes place. After this period, the author and Queen Takes Book can opt to convert the consignment arrangement to our standard agreement.
OVERSTOCK
At the end of the agreed upon consignment period, unsold books will be returned to the author. Queen Takes Book requests that these books be picked up within 10 days of the end of the consignment period. Unsold books remaining in the store after this 10-day period will be donated.
PAYMENT
The Author will receive 60% of the pre-tax sale proceeds and Queen Takes Book will receive 40% of the proceeds. Payment will be made to the author within 3 business days following the end of the consignment period.
MARKETING
As part of this consignment agreement, the Author agrees to list Queen Takes Book as a retail location on promotional material. While Queen Takes Book may elect to post author provided content on its social media and email channels, Queen Takes Book is not responsible for the creation of new marketing materials.
DISCLOSURE
Queen Takes Book will do everything within its control to maintain the integrity of the books consigned but is not responsible for theft, loss, or damage to books consigned.
